Will Green
PhD Researcher · Engineering Biology
I'm Will Green, an Engineering Biology PhD researcher at the University of Edinburgh, working within the Preventing Plastic Pollution with Engineering Biology Mission Hub in the Sadler Lab. I engineer microbial cell factories to transform waste streams into higher-value chemicals and materials, with a current focus on a next-generation plastic monomer.
My work spans synthetic biology, precision fermentation, metabolic engineering and analytical chemistry. Before the PhD, I completed an MRes with Distinction in Systems and Synthetic Biology at Imperial's Jiménez Lab and a First-Class Biotechnology degree in Edinburgh's Wallace Lab.
